Tour de France
2010-06-28 / France / Ecole
Valrhona will be showing everyone the company’s own special vision of the Tour de France this summer, with a chocolate version of the famous French cycle race (known to fans as “La Grande Boucle” or ‘The Great Loop’) to be displayed all summer long on the walls of its chocolate factory at Tain l’Hermitage. This little nod to the great sporting event will be an all chocolate portrayal of scenes depicting the Tour caravan, the cyclists and the spectators.
When he learnt that the Tour de France would be going past Valrhona’s chocolate factory in Tain l’Hermitage on July 16th, Luc Eyriey, pastry-cook trainer at Valrhona’s Ecole du Grand Chocolat, felt inspired to mark the occasion.
The 16m by 2m scene comprising 7 mini-scenes will be displayed from June 15th to September 15th, 2010, on the front wall of Valrhona’s chocolate factory beside the N7 (19-18 avenue Président Roosevelt, Tain l’Hermitage – 26600, France).
